JOHNNY B SAYS
It's nearly here! Our 40th anniversary has nearly arrived! Next cycle marks the last time that league champions and battle royal winners will receive $40,000 instead of $30,000. It's also your last chance to have your wrestlers collect four stars instead of one by having a strategy worth at least 495 points and signing a one-on-one match. It's also the last time that all bottom 20/30 match deals will be automatically bumped up to bottom 40 deals!
Who will make history by wearing the World Championship belt to our 40th birthday party? Find out next cycle!
HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES -- engraved plaque
~TZ~ of Virginia
EDGE: Badd Co. Rock Warner (CSL) 372-225-51, *50, $695,300
This cycle, five more grapplers under the helm of manager ~TZ~ are calling it quits and taking their place in the illustrious IWA Hall of Fame. Up first is Badd Co. Rock Warner. Most often associated with the role of enforcer for the famed Warner Bros. family, Rock has earned his own bit of success along the way by winning the IWA's KOTR and Hardcore titles, as well as an IWA-wide regional championship. Between the pages of the bulletin, he also won the CAW Bruiserweight Championship thrice as he exchanged the belt multiple times with the notorious Z in 2021. Rock's career seemed to have been put on ice after suffering a vicious attack at the hands of Father Nurgle and the Legends of Wrestling last year in the RDL. He then transferred to the CSL as part of his rehab assignment, but he just hasn't been able to make a full recovery. Rock has stated that he plans to take some time off before returning to action in a different capacity that will allow him to continue supporting the family name.
EDGE/DF: Dominant Factor Pain (CSL) 1,107-196-48, *45, $1,554,600
Also retiring from the CSL is Dominant Factor Pain. During his career, DF Pain brought home the IWA Iron Federation honors and an IWA-wide regional title.
EDGE: Badd Co. Rick Hamilton (XPL) 1,126-332-76, *62, $1,852,300
Badd Co. Rick Hamilton spent the first half of his career teaming with fellow Badd Co. partner Johnny Angel, who retired to the HOF back in 2011. The two men enjoyed plenty of in-league success as a tag-team, which included a run as the BTL World Tag-team Champions in 2005 and the OSL World Tag-team Champions in 2009. Rick's biggest wins may have come in singles competition, though, where he won the IWA Metropolitan title as well as an IWA-wide regional. He also won the EPW Breakout and EPW Commonwealth titles in 2021. Rick has spent his final few months in the ring competing in the XPL, and has decided to hang it up for good.
EDGE/CHAMP: Gran Ramada (AOL) 404-241-38, *51, $721,400
Retiring from the AOL is Gran Ramada. His biggest claim to fame is undoubtedly being one of only a few wrestlers to have won the World title in multiple major PBM games -- the IWA, of course, being one of them. In total, Ramada has won the IWA World, Gold Federation, and Asiatic belts, two IWA-wide regionals, and the U.S. Six-man titles. His character work did not go unnoticed, either, as he won the GPWI International title twice from the NDL back in 2011 and the EPW Lion's Pride Championship in 2022.
EDGE: Mega Dazzle (RDL) 603-191-52, *54, $713,600
Mega Dazzle is the final wrestler under contract to ~TZ~ to call it quits this cycle. He is the eldest of the famed Dazzler Brothers, the others of whom are still engaging in in-ring action across the IWA. Mega Dazzle has spent the majority of his career working in team action, culminating in winning the IWA World Tag and U.S. Six-man titles, in addition to several other close calls. He also won an IWA-wide regional while competing in singles action.
David Mims III of North Carolina
Syndicate: Deathlok (HWL) 1,135-502-94, *43, $2,310,300
Syndicate: Justice Pain (HWL) 1,034-616-92, *52, $2,624,900
(See this cycle's HWL bulletin for the Syndicate's farewell message to the fans.)
"PBM" Percival Bologna Marchand of Knockemstiff, Ohio, USA
COT/FRM-16: Vincent Kennedy Marchand (LPL) 1,118-164-37, *34, $1,997,900
Vincent Kennedy Marchand speaks: "You know me... philanthropist and financier of the FRM-16 stable... genetic gold distributor... and as of this very moment... HALL-OF-FAMER. I couldn't have done it without you, PBM. Give a round of applause for my personal Johnny Ace... look at those grey sweatpants... Percival Bologna Marchand!!!"
Michael Drake of New Jersey
CURE: Professor S (VUL) 604-376-85, *50, $1,882,700
Mike Drake is unsure of how many wrestlers he has retired. He can't remember if he retired any this year, and blames Jack Daniel's and Bud Light Lime. He plans on asking well-respected and well-organized manager Mike Cook for assistance with this matter. As for now, we'll call Professor S the first Mike Drake retiree of the summer of 2025.
CURE/CTI: Kassius Ohno (HLL) 1,377-616-114, *63, $2,863,800
CURE/CTI: Mike Vicious (HLL) 1,526-635-116, *81, $3,531,400
The summer of July 2025: a crossroads of sorts... or maybe: out with the old and in with the new? Still, Ohno and Vicious's times have come and gone. Since we are unorganized, we don't know our retiree stats, but as we said with Professor S, we plan on asking one of the best minds in the game, Mike Cook, for some assistance. For now, we'll consider these numbers two and three for the summer of July 2025.
CURE: Drake Younger (DZL) 1,055-314-68, *51, $2,629,050
Well, another one bites the dust. Is this 4 or 5 or 6 for the cycle? I looked. I checked. I have about 60 retirement-ready. Is it the end, or is it time for a new beginning? Tricky question, uncertain answer -- maybe no answer needed at all, since there was no need for a question. Drake Younger: he served his purpose. A warrior. A man who followed his heart. He believed in the right, though always drifted towards the wrong, like most of us do. Still, he did his time, and now is his moment. Thank you all.
