JOHNNY B SAYS
It's the Spring cycle, so why not perform a little spring cleaning on your wrestlers' records -- perhaps even more than a little?
We routinely allow managers to drop up to 20 losses from their grapplers' stats during one cycle per year, but as part of the continuing celebration of our 40th year in operation, we're doubling the usual amount of losses that can be removed! Even better, we're not doubling the usual imaginary cost! Include a note with your matches for next cycle that reads, "Remove 40 losses from my wrestler, ID #123." You can choose up to 40 losses (even numbers only), and remember to use your wrestler's ID number instead of 123. Please separate the request from your trash talk by skipping some space, to make sure we don't miss it. Each pair of losses will cost your wrestler $25K in earnings, so they'll need $500,000 to "clean" the maximum amount of 40 losses, and they also must be active (initiate a one-on-one match). This extra-special offer is only available next cycle, so get cleaning!
In addition to watching for improved win-loss records for your entire roster, be on the lookout for the details of this year's State Wrestling contest next cycle. It features a signing bonus everyone is certain to love!
HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES -- engraved plaque
Michael Cook of Kentucky
SOS: "Who the Heck Is?" Mike Cook (NFL) 189-77-26, *53, $664,900
Mike Cook Fact #23: Mike Cook won his first Women's World Tag title teaming with Jake Duvall. Nine years later, they have reunited and are winning U.S. Six-man belts.
Luka Argall of Australia
Awesome Aaron Miller (ACW) 1,004-204-25, *8, $1,947,700
This cycle, Awesome Aaron Miller, one of the IWA's fastest-rising stars, is entering the IWA Hall of Fame. Miller kicked off his wrestling career by winning the first and third ACW Battle Royals. In his all-too-brief stint as a pro wrestler, the Young Lion somehow managed to amass over 1,000 victories. Not ruling out a return to the IWA, Aaron Miller will be running across America and camping out with the homeless for his charity, MILLER'S MISSION.
Michael Long of West Virginia
Gemil (ACW) 1,002-124-22, *13, $1,631,700
If you know, you know... but, if you don't... Gemil is a long-time IWA player, manager, trash talker, commissioner, content creator, innovator, bulletin designer, consultant, and competitor. A wrestling fan since the early '80s, Gemil fancied himself a poor man's Paul Orndorff. His love for the business kept him a motivated and impactful contributor even after 2001, when he turned away from the non-imaginary, predetermined, work stuff. With over 1,000 wins to his name, Gemil never held an IWA title of any kind.
David Mims III of North Carolina
James "Garriot" Gray (BBL) 1,018-201-19, *14, $1,336,100
Tom Flesher, passed out on the LIRR
COT: Professor Vitali Medved (UCW) 1,090-139, *16, $2,271,600
Professor Vitali Medved started his career as an amateur wrestler and eventually worked his way into a coveted department chair position at the Soviet Sport School teaching generations of Russian boys how to compete effectively. Although he eventually defected to the United States, the Professor never lost his hardscrabble Soviet mindset. He has served as the face of a faction in the UCW, training Olympian Bob Starr and Rugged Ron Gorman, but he is perhaps best known throughout the IWA in a managerial capacity, where he will continue to serve.
"We started to worry about Vitali," says his agent, Rachel Yamazaki, "when he started to ramble on in public about splits, flows, and the significance of the numbers 501, 516, and 521." She shakes her head. "No one quite understood what he was talking about, but I'm glad he's finally getting out of the ring."
Medved's retirement comes on the heels of completing his contractual obligations in the UWL and losing a Luchas de Apuestas match against Johnathan Hopkin. "Although the Professor vowed to fight for his right to continue competing," says his attorney, Lindland Sieracki, "we're going to direct our efforts to the courtroom. As long as he's still here to train the next generation, we'll be able to benefit... rants about 'guessing the back end' notwithstanding."

EDGE: "Nature Boy" Ric Blair (WEW) 1,253-316-64, *46, $1,215,200
EDGE: Ole Henderson (WEW) 1,003-215-54, *44, $1,162,700
EDGE: Rick Cartel (WEW) 1,038-219-53, *49, $990,200
This cycle, three MRL alumni have decided to hang it up and ride off into the sunset of the IWA Hall of Fame. "Nature Boy" Ric Blair was the leader of the feared Four Horsemen, and earned such notoriety for his character work that his namesake was permanently retired in the MRL following his departure in 2011. After returning to the game in 2020, he went on to become a four-time UCW World Champion, cementing his legacy as one of the best of the best.
Joining Blair is fellow Horseman Ole Henderson. The highlight of Ole's career came in 2011 when he and brother Arn won the MRL World Tag-team titles. During his career, Ole also won the IWA U.S. Tag, U.S. Six-Man, and an IWA-wide regional title.
Rounding out this cycle's retirees is Rick Cartel. Cartel's biggest claim to fame was when he defeated Classy Eddie DeGrassi to become the TCW World Champion in February 2011. Rick also won the IWA Metropolitan title and the U.S. Six-man Championship during his career.
