The last time manager Sly Smith won a major title was during the June 2015 cycle. He returns to the game after all these years, and right out of the gate takes home three IWA-wide regionals and our National Championship? The Arrogance of some people...
Wrestling under the guidance of IWA Legend Terrence Boyd, Savage Billy Manson proved he's worth more than silver and gold by regaining the King of the Ring crown after very nearly retaining it last cycle. He also won the International title for the second time in the last three rounds! Point flow cost him the belt back in the September cycle, but Terrence doesn't manage quitters. On that note: this tour marks the third time since September that Manson has been edged out for the Jade Federation Championship... Stay tuned!
Manager Rich Reilly cost Manson the Jade and International straps in September with The Big Ticket, but since the July 2017 cycle, his Reign of Terror Disciple has repeatedly had his Jade Federation ticket torn up by players from Illinois -- once by Jake Joyce and thrice by Donald Henry! (Twice, counting this round, Manson has joined him in defeat.)
That same July 2017 cycle was the last time the Disciple wore our Asian Championship, but he's come close three of the last seven cycles. Crushing his dreams this tour was manager Donald Henry, who just picked up an incredible eighth IWA World title since the Fall 2015 cycle! I think I'll use this opportunity to remind everyone about a feature we implemented at Donald's behest: wrestlers in our game now have imaginary genders, so if you manage a female wrestler in a predominantly male league, or vice versa, make sure you tell us so our battle royal commentators can provide more accurate descriptions of the action.
