JOHNNY B SAYS

Since the Unknown Wrestler League was in the Iron Federation, we were able to announce the winner this cycle instead of making everyone wait until next year. A hearty congratulations to well-known manager Seth Brubaker, whose monstrous fighter stood alone at the top of the mountain after 31 brutal rounds of competition. After this extended run, the UWL will be taking a break for a few cycles to give everyone a chance to catch their breath, but don't lose those masks!

This has been quite a year for the Imaginary Wrestling Association... It started with a transition to all-digital bulletins, with the old roster pages integrated into the rankings pages. We introduced title number codes so challenging champions would require less effort, and when you win the belt, bold and italic print now make the match easier to find. We began listing the unofficial Top 20 Managers and Stables so players can keep tabs on their progress, and we instituted a federation cap of 50 wrestlers per manager and a policy giving less-effective strategies to inactive wrestlers, to keep things competitive. We gave our regional titles more modern names, rolled out some new Specialty Championships, and brought back the International title. A few wrestlers and managers even broke some all-time IWA records -- one in this very issue!

Thanks for spending 2020 with us. We've done our best to provide you with a fun distraction, and I hope we've accomplished that goal. So, until next year, "Happy holidays from all your friends at the IWA!"

WORLD, U.S., KING OF THE RING

World Champion

Rakim (PKW)
"The Game" from Parts Unknown; manager retained title; 501; $250,000 + 75 free matches or a real wrestling belt & 25 free matches, 10 free matches for PKW managers next cycle; manager's 9th career World title

Date: Friday, December 11, 2020
Time: 10:35 P.M.
Location: IWA Headquarters, Willowick, Ohio

Returning from commercials, WJW Fox 8 TV viewers are treated to a packed, festive Christmas party that's in full swing. Various IWA staffers can be seen either dancing badly, or conversing in small groups. Ugly Christmas sweaters rule the day, and Johnny B himself is lit up like a Christmas tree as he schmoozes with other IWA executives. Behind them, a deejay is set up on the makeshift stage, expertly mixing Christmas songs. Continuing to pan around the room, the camera even catches Kim standing near the punch bowl with what appears to be something small and shiny in her hand. She looks around nervously as she inches closer and closer to the bowl... until she's standing over it. The camera zooms in on her, until Johnny B grabs a mic and addresses the crowd, which causes the camera to turn from her and focus on him instead. He nods to the deejay, who then turns down the volume of the music.

Johnny B: "Thank you, everyone, for coming to our annual Christmas party! This year has been a trying one, but boy-oh-boy, do I have a surprise for you! We have a special guest joining us tonight who, just yesterday, made IWA history by becoming the FIRST manager ever to win back-to-back IWA World, U.S., and National titles! So, please welcome the new nine-time IWA World Heavyweight Champion, 'The Game' Tony Pesante!!!"

The deejay then begins to play "Glass Shatters" by Disturbed, announcing the arrival of the legendary manager. Every employee shifts closer to the stage as "The Game" makes his way into the room wearing a custom navy blue Ralph Lauren "Gregory" handmade wool suit, and black alligator-skin shoes. He stops short of the stage, and awaits his usual arrangement of pyrotechnics to go off... but nothing happens! Having none on hand, Johnny B turns around anxiously to see "The Game" staring a hole through him. Johnny then motions to a box on the floor next to a couple of staffers standing near the door. They both look down in bewilderment, and reach into the box. Pulling out a pair of party poppers, they hold them up into the air. A couple of pops can be heard over the entrance music, and a small cloud of confetti begins to rain down on the crowd. Looking back at "The Game," Johnny sees an angry look on his face as he storms up onto the stage and snatches the mic out of his hands. Johnny then backs up a few steps as "The Game" begins to speak.

"The Game": "Let me cut to the chase: I've got just one thing to say about what just happened..."

The crowd -- and especially Johnny B -- knowing the manager's temper, gasp and begin to brace for the worst.

"The Game": "...Kim, please pass me a couple of Dixie cups of that fruit punch you just spiked!"

As a smile spreads across the face of "The Game," the crowd snaps out of their shock, and begins to cheer! Kim, relieved that no one is upset about the spiked punch, brings a pair of cups for both "The Game" and Johnny B. "The Game" holds up one cup, and motions for Johnny to do the same. He then smashes his cup against Johnny's, sending a spray of punch onto the crowd, and they cheer as he and Johnny down the other cup. "The Game" then pumps both fists into the air, eliciting a massive roar from the crowd before he grabs the mic again.

"The Game": "I want to thank all of you for having me here tonight. I will close by saying I hope everyone has a merry Christmas, a happy Hanukkah, and a happy and healthy New Year! For tonight, we party, but tomorrow begins my quest for #10..."

As if on cue, the deejay then begins playing "Glass Shatters" again, as the camera begins to fade out with the image of "The Game" standing majestically on stage with both his fists in the air, and a smirk on his face.
