JOHNNY B SAYS

Good news: we're reinstating our International title! Thanks to Anthony Chatburn, along with some of his fellow managers including Wade Reinhard, Seth Brubaker, and Michael Drake, the champions of 12 deserving leagues will soon be competing for $25,000 in imaginary money and 10 free matches!

Those who took part in last year's Imagimania know we brought the title back temporarily, and DOD: Ghost Lee Shadows (BRL) claimed the honors for Jason Frymier of Canada. The title's previous owner was SL: Edward Scissorhands (UNL), managed by Rob Bradford of Illinois, who won it all the way back in the Holidays 2000 cycle!

To celebrate the return of this beloved title, we're allowing everyone to create up to six wrestlers in any International league for free! To qualify, simply enter each new wrestler in at least one singles match the same cycle they arrive. For example, pay just $5 and you can create six new wrestlers in the HAL and sign each to a one-on-one match. This offer is only good next cycle, so send your new wrestlers in with your very next round of matches.

After the June and July cycles is the Summer 2020 cycle, in which we crown the new champion! That will give everyone the opportunity to win a regional belt their first cycle, then the league title the next, and hopefully see their name in lights on the International stage!

Here are the leagues you should be joining right after you finish reading this: the Black Ops League and the Quantum Pro League in the Iron Federation, the Gorgeous Amazon League and the Hired Assassin League in Steel, the Blood Bath League and the Western Trails League in Gold, the Native Sensation League and the No Man's League in Diamond, the Brass Knuckles League and the Revolution Wrestling League in Bronze, and the Jade Dragon League and the Zig Zag League in the Jade Federation.

It's fitting that the selection should include our six newest pioneer leagues, since we used to list the International Champion in the "Pioneer Champions" section of this Report! To refresh your memory, these pioneer leagues (the BOL, HAL, WTL, NML, BKL, and ZZL) all have a limit of six wrestlers per manager, and transfers are not allowed, so you must create brand new wrestlers -- new female wrestlers in the NML. These six league champions can win the real-life Elite belt whenever there are at least 50 cards in the bulletin, and soon they will also be competing for the International title!

The other half of the leagues allow transfers. The BBL has a limit of six wrestlers per manager, and is an Elite league. Both points also go for the RWL, which is a ladies' league that permits wrestlers with up to 300 wins to transfer in. The GAL is also a ladies' league, but it has a limit of three, and wrestlers cannot transfer into the league if they have more than 100 wins. The JDL, NSL, and QPL have no restrictions on transfers and do not have explicit limits, although every IWA league without a stated limit has an unofficial limit of 25 wrestlers per manager.

Anytime you spend at least $20 in a league, we'll waive your transfer fees into the league during that cycle, so if you'd rather transfer wrestlers into an International league instead of creating new ones, that's a free option available to you. We think our free wrestler creation offer (next cycle only) is a much better deal, so take advantage while it lasts!

Manager Zach Gargus, the man responsible for your bulletin showing title matches in bold italics when the belt changed hands, and who brought dots back to the rankings pages, has submitted a new innovation for your approval: should we rearrange the IWA Report so it lists the men's World title, then the ladies' World title, followed by the men's U.S. title, then the ladies' U.S. title, etc.? Please review the sample enclosed with this cycle's issue and let us know your thoughts!

As for our other votes, the majority has favored maintaining the status quo in every case. It really means a lot to know so many of you feel we're doing (some) things right. Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill out and return a ballot.

The dust from Stablecade has finally settled, and VIRUS has reclaimed the throne. Next time, State Wrestling returns!

HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES -- engraved plaque

Chad Williams of North Carolina

Dr. Slam (IWL) 1,011-386-73, *18, $2,458,100
The IWL show has ended, and the lights go dark for a moment. Suddenly, "Bodies" by Drowning Pool plays, and Dr. Slam emerges at the top of the ramp, looking angry, as the lights come back on. He makes his way to the ring and signals for a microphone. One is tossed to him.

DS: "Cut the music, you morons!"

The music stops, and Dr. Slam begins to speak:

DS: "Night after night, I come out here and bust my butt for you people. I've bled for this company, and even been set on fire! I've had some amazing battles in the IWL, but today I'm here to make an announcement: as of this moment, I am retiring. That's right, Dr. Slam is leaving the ring. Don't get your hopes up, though. You see, I was welcomed into a group that will continue to cause chaos in the IWL for a long time to come, the Revolution Xtreme. I'm RX for life, and though I may be stepping out of the ring, I'll still be around for my RX family. You people never deserved me in the ring to begin with. The Doctor's office is officially closed!"

Dr. Slam tosses the mic, and walks up the ramp without any music playing.

(A personal note from Dr. Slam's manager, Chad Williams: Thank you to the NWL for helping me grow Dr. Slam, thank you to the IWL for giving Dr. Slam a place to shine, and lastly, thank you to the IWA for allowing me to fulfill a dream I had as a kid in middle school of seeing Dr. Slam enter the IWA Hall of Fame. Thank you all for making this possible.)

Shawn McAbee of Tennessee

RLS: "The Savior" Xalvador Bane (YJL) 1,088-101-30, *17, $2,172,700
Narrator, as a highlight video plays on the jumbotron: "'The Savior' Xalvador Bane put his wrestling career on the line against 'The Vicious Vegan' Vortimer Vaughn in the YJL's Winter 2020 PPV 'Fight or Flight,' which Xalvador lost, so he had to retire, but Xalvador is a smart man and, apparently, Vortimer is not. Vortimer failed to read the fine print which stated that as long as Xalvador held a title, he could not retire, so the feud between them continued. Xalvador gained title after title until Spring 2020, when Vortimer took the league belt from him, ending the fine-print clause. Xalvador's biggest achievement was winning the IWA Hardcore Championship in the Spring cycle of 2020--"

Xalvador Bane interrupts his own Hall of Fame induction.

Xalvador: "Who wrote this garbage? You should fire him right now! ... Vortimer, you may have beat me, boy, and ended my in-ring wrestling career, but I am not leaving the YJL; in fact, I am now putting my skills into managing my boys in RLS (Republic of Lucha Salvation). I am not done with you yet, Vortimer!"
