JOHNNY B SAYS

The managers behind the creation of our Elite title gave more thought to the possibility of leagues losing and regaining Elite status over time, based on the number of cards, and decided it was an unnecessary complication. We agreed that removing those stipulations would simplify things and avoid potential confusion. The four remaining rules which now govern our Elite title are: (1) Elite leagues must feature at least 50 cards to qualify for the championship in any given cycle; (2) a real-life belt will only be awarded if all the Elite leagues as a whole average at least 50 cards that cycle; (3) only new leagues created with a limit of, at most, six wrestlers per manager may choose to become an Elite league, and only after completing a full year of play; and (4) if the players in an Elite league ever vote to remove the limit or raise it above six, the league forfeits its Elite status. We hope you'll agree that having fewer rules makes our newest major title simply better!

Eagle-eyed IWA veteran Kenneth Plasse noticed that certain match results didn't include the length of time the match took, such as when bouts ended in a double disqualification. From now on, the official match times will only be omitted in cases where the time limit was reached. Thanks for yet another improvement to the game, Kenneth!

We're doubly excited about the final suggestion that was brought to life this cycle! Manager Dennis Mooney requested that we make it possible for two wrestlers to be thrown out of the battle royal at the same time, just like in real-life pro wrestling. The grappler with the ever-so-slightly better battle royal strategy will be considered to have landed outside the ring ever-so-slightly later, so he or she will still receive an extra $100 in imaginary money, just like before; the difference is in how the action will be described in your league bulletin. Watch for this double (elimination) feature, coming soon to an arena near you!
