STABLECADE 2018
Although nearly 250 wrestlers signed up to represent their stables this year, a mere four groups were permitted entry to the arena on the night of the event. We had to disqualify seven stables for entering too few wrestlers. Please remember that your group must enter at least five members in order to compete in this annual contest.
Emerging victorious for the third year in a row was the VIRUS stable! They scored the highest average after taking the five best strategy totals from each group. Their wrestlers who attended the event, listed below, were awarded $100,000 in imaginary earnings for another stellar performance.

HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES -- engraved plaque
Matt Riley of Massachusetts
Maddog Dick Jackson (BRL) 1,061-491-106, $2,113,100 *36
The beats of "Electric Avenue" pump through the arena, and the fans get on their feet as Maddog Dick Jackson walks out to bust out some funky steps and adjust his poorly-fitting tuxedo. Smiling, he accepts the IWA Hall of Fame plaque from Johnny B with a handshake and thunderous applause from the fans as he steps to the podium.
"Way back in 1987, Ah laced up mah boots in the Clawin' Cat League as the Masked Marvel, an' had a pro like Kevin Starr to show me the ropes as we battled fellas like Mel 'Macho Man' McCauley an' The Hawaiian, but that changed when Ah turned on Kevin. That feud cost me a friend an' the career of Starr's buddy, Ricky Sessions, but it taught me a respect for the biz, brother. Ah ditched the mask to let Dick the Dog Jackson outta the yard, an' Ah forged a connection with the fans by learnin' to scrap with the best of 'em an' findin' mah voice. (He pauses as a 'Whooo Jack' chant breaks out.) Y'all cheered me as Ah swapped the NDL title with the Ultimate Ninja back an' forth for 10 months, an' took the IC tag belts from the Ninja Clan with Stevie Speed. Y'all danced with me when Ah upset Baron Bino Bastille to capture the Weekly Report's International title an' put the Dog on the IWA map. That caught the eye of the most hated man in the IWA, Rick Challenger, who decided he was gonna put the Dog down, an' our chain matches left a lot of rings bloody until Ah left the SPL cuz Ah got the call up to the show, the Battle Royal League.
"Mah first big foe was Hades, an' Ah was like, 'Really, y'all gonna put me up against the BRL's best?' He taught me a lot in a rivalry, like raisin' your game to outdo your rival. Hades won the first Triple Crown in BRL history, so Ah went all-out to match him. Ah'm still proud to be one of 10 men to win the BRL's Triple Crown since 1985, an' some said our wars were a passin' of the torch. Ah don't know about that, but to give y'all an idea of how good Hades was, he's the man who racked up 780 points in five years; it took me 12 years to get 835! It didn't take long for things to get crazy: a rivalry began with Mike White Lightnin' Moore, Rick Challenger renewed our feud, Ah crossed paths with Frank 'Leatherman' Snow, who'd gone to the dark side under the spell of the mysterious Shroud, an' Ah fell for a lil' lady named Mariah. Those first years came down to a wild cage match that spawned RC's best version of Badd Co., Ah wound up joinin' forces with the Leatherman, an' then Ah discovered The Shroud was actually Mariah, an' she... is RC's sister! Sweet potato! Ol' FLS took me under his wing an' gave me the edge Ah needed, an' dubbed me the Maddog! (The fans break into barking.) Y'all were always behind me, even as Ah got mah tail kicked by the toughest opponent Ah ever had, Beautiful Bobby Blanchard. He wasn't a two-time BRL Wrestler of the Year for nothin', an' all those injuries he an' his kin, Johnny Blanchard, inflicted on me put ol' DJ on the shelf in 1997. Bobby, yah may be the better wrestler, but Ah'm still the better man!
"Y'all welcomed me back in 2012, but a bunch of hired guns called the Wreckin' Crew spent the year tryin' to take me out on the orders of their leader, Rick Sessions. Ah had to run a bloody gauntlet over his Crew in order to get Sessions in a cage at Battlecade 9 an' end a 25-year old grudge. In 2013, despite facin' the heavily-favored Scavengers, the Leatherman an' Maddog found a way to win the 17th Marano Memorial Tag-team Tournament, an' then Ah fell for Sue Plexx, only to be jilted at the altar when the Gentleman Caller stole her away! Ah rescued Suzy from the clutches of Benjamin Blood, but the whole thing done broke mah heart. Ah focused on the ring in 2014 an' had mah best year since the '90s, but a brutal feud with the Dangerous Bull Terry Blackwell took me down a peg the year after that. There wasn't much gas in the tank at that point, but it didn't keep the Saskatchewan Sasquatch from callin' out DJ. Ah knew better, but just couldn't stay away from that final match against a risin' star that is goin' to go on to big things. It was the end of the road for the Maddog.
"The IWA gave me a chance to shine, an' Ah'd like to thank Johnny B an' all the folks in the office who made all this fun possible. Ah'd like to thank the friends, foes, an' rivals who gave me the juice to take mah game to the next level an' net me seven Most Popular Wrestler an' three Most Inspirational awards, cuz it was for y'all. Ah've gotta thank the folks in the IWL, where Ah'm the color commentator for their pay-per-views, but mah days of finishin' off mah opponent with the Dedicated DDT have led me here, as the 1,000th inductee into the IWA's Hall of Fame. Before Ah go, one last time, fans... lemme hear yah say... 'WHOOO JACK'!"
