WORLD CHAMPION Thanks to his 500-point strategy, "Triumphant" Troy Simon (LSL) was able to win the Steel Federation title, then parlay that into a World Championship for manager Stacey McBride of Missouri! Troy was awarded $300,000 in imaginary earnings, while Stacey gets to choose either 100 free matches or a real wrestling belt and 50 free matches. Congratulations!
U.S. CHAMPION HATE: Frozen Fire (THL) won an engraved plaque or 25 free matches for Shaun McPeck of Illinois when he edged out fellow TV champions WWW: "Loathsome Legend" Lance Thorn (IIL), ACE/EAGLES: Hardcore Dawkins (LSL), LPPF: Harley the Hammer Flanagan (BWL), ACE: Always Right Sean Hannity (PML), and VU: Duce Davis (RYL). Impressive!
KING OF THE RING Tony Ibrahim of Kansas earned an engraved plaque or 25 free matches by coaching DX: Triple H (NAL) to this title! Adding up the values of hold positions 1, 2, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, and 14 in the strategy of each league battle royal winner proved that his 272 total was worthy of the crown. Hold positions 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 15 decided the order of elimination for our regular battle royals.
ASIATIC CHAMPION Picking up this $25,000 purse was EDGE: The Gigolo Jim Ross (CFL), who had a 499-point strategy! His manager, Neel LaBar of Virginia, receives a well-deserved 10 free matches.
HARDCORE CHAMPION ACE: Stone Cold Steve Austin (HWL) displayed his Pure Greatness by defeating our other Hardcore league champions and keeping this title in the hands of Bob Dippy from Pennsylvania! Steve had to use point flow against VU: Jason Riehle (RYL), who also had 499 points.
FEDERATION PLAY-OFFS Reigning Hardcore Champion ACE: Stone Cold Steve Austin (HWL) continued to display his Pure Greatness by adding the Iron Federation to his winnings! Bob Dippy of Pennsylvania supplied his 499 total. Trading in the imaginary $40,000 and non-imaginary 25 free matches he received for taking home the Steel Federation, and ending up with the IWA World prize instead, was Stacey McBride's "Triumphant" Troy Simon! Jeff Annable of Canada led EDGE: Moon Warrior (BRL) to the Gold Federation honors. He had 499 points. Michael Eaves of Mississippi picked up his 12th Diamond Federation belt (a new record!) with the help of ACE: Celtic Tiger (LBL), bringing Michael's career federation title wins to 33 (also a new record!). In the Bronze Federation, LPPF: "D-Bola" Frank Fina (BWL) edged Asiatic Champion EDGE: The Gigolo Jim Ross (CFL) to take the prize for Anthony Dudick of New York. Both wrestlers had a 499 total. The Jade Federation champion was LPPF: Nick Kearns (TPL). His manager is Gregg Boyle of Maryland.
NATIONAL CHAMPION, IWA-WIDE REGIONALS After claiming the Prairie region with his 501-pointer, ACE: Ultimo Scorpio (IML) turned back the other regional champions to gain an engraved plaque or 25 free matches for his manager, Michael Eaves of Mississippi! The remaining titles went to...
LADIES' TITLES The Smooth One Jeff Manning of Ohio coached EDGE: Aunt Flo (VVL) all the way to the Ladies' World Championship! He wins an engraved plaque or 15 free matches for providing the 499-pointer. Jeff also took the Ladies' U.S. title, using EDGE: Brenda "Bring Da" Payne (VVL)! LPPF: Awkward Curves Dizzy Denise Hamhock (VVL) brought the Ladies' National honors home to Keith A. Maple of Ohio. Her strategy was worth 499 points. WWW: Powerpuff Girl Chelsea (FFL) won the Queen of the Ring title for Darrell Brewer of Alabama after edging out fellow Powerpuff Girl Alisha (LLL). She's also owned by Darrell, and so are the Ladies' Tag-team champions, LPPF: Powerpuff Girls Kasey and Ashley (GDL)! CB: Nicole Doyle and Amy Johnson (LLL) continued to demonstrate top-notch teamwork by adding the Ladies' U.S. tag titles to their resumes. Congratulations are in order for their manager, Darren Lane of Arkansas! COT: Zebra Cakes and Strawberry Shortcake held onto their World Six-woman titles, this time partnering with Bregg Goyle (GDL). All three are managed by Mick Garig of Louisiana. The U.S. Six-woman champions were WWW: Lady Infamous, Lady Omnipotent, and Lady TeArS (VVL). They belong to Scott Bernes of Ohio.
WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS After fighting their way into tenth place on the tag standings last cycle, WWW: Jumpin Johnny and Mighty Max Stargunn (QPL) turned up the heat even more, pocketing $50,000 apiece and winning an engraved plaque or 15 free matches for Jason Battaglia of New York! The top four teams listed had 516 points. This includes G-Dawg and the Amish Destroyer, who moved up from eighth place last time!
TOP 10 TAG-TEAMS
U.S. TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS EDGE: The Terminator and Pain (CSL), managed by Canada's Jeff Annable, had to resort to using point flow when the battle for these belts came down to them and their German stablemates Snake Badlands and Jonathan Winger (QPL). Both teams had 516 points.
WORLD SIX-MAN CHAMPIONS Jonathan Akers of Texas teamed COT/CARTEL: Slash Craven and Abomination of Desolation with HATE/CARTEL: Jellysickle (RCL), who belongs to Shaun McPeck of Illinois, in an attempt to win these titles. It worked! The top eight teams in the rankings had 521 points.
TOP 10 SIX-MAN TEAMS
U.S. SIX-MAN CHAMPIONS Jake Duvall of Georgia made good on his promise to line the pockets of his terrifying trio with $20,000 in cold, hard, imaginary cash once SBTB: Jessie Stabbo, Eatya Turtle, and Kelly Killpowski (SML) had disposed of LPPF: The Game, the Cerebral Assassin, and Triple H (XPL), plus LPPF: Jack Daniels, Evan Williams, and Paul Masson (BTL). All three teams had a 521 total.
TOP 10 LEAGUES Going by the number of matches, the most active leagues for the February cycle are listed below. In a very impressive showing, the Unknown Wrestler League knocked the ASL out of first place, ending its reign! Don't count the All Star League out just yet, however. Its active wrestlers had the highest average strategy total out of all 10 leagues, so its managers can take two matches for $1 next cycle! The averages in the ABL and APL were also exceptional.
