JOHNNY B SAYS
In our 38-year history, we have never placed a strict limit on a manager's total roster size -- other than a de facto one, based on the number of wrestlers allowed per federation -- but starting with the January cycle, players will be permitted to own a maximum of 200 contracts in the entire game.
This new rule is the brainchild of manager Donald Henry (whose "Silencer" Eddie Camden captured both the King of the Ring and the Pacific Northwest IWA-wide regional titles this cycle). He reasoned that, when factoring in the existing limit of 50 wrestlers per federation, the change would "add a fun, strategic element in allocating roster resources," and I agreed. I felt Donald's suggestion provided a generous amount of imaginary grapplers for even the most industrious of players to manage, and speaking of generous...
Manager ~TZ~ proposed some improvements to the perks we currently offer our highly valued league commissioners. Beginning next cycle, they will enjoy the following benefits: first, they will receive five free matches per cycle for personal use, and that reward will be temporarily doubled to 10 free matches any cycle after their league has reached 25 cards of activity. Second, every cycle, they will be able to award up to five free matches and up to $25,000 to wrestlers managed by other players. These prizes must be based on pre-defined criteria they have identified in their Commissioner Report. Whenever their league's bulletin features at least 50 cards, both awards will be temporarily doubled the following cycle (so, up to 10 free matches and up to $50,000). And third, they will be able to sign up to 10 Commissioner's Choice matches each cycle for the purposes of running contests, pay-per-views, etc. If you're one of our hard-working commissioners, we hope these changes that we've implemented at the request of ~TZ~ -- who is one of your fellow commissioners -- will help you feel the love.
I have one last piece of huge news this time: Imagimania 38 is nearly here!

Neo Dragon (BRL) 3,817-958-150, *30, $6,381,000
Neo Dragon has retired after nearly a decade in the IWA. Starting in the NWL in 2014, Neo Dragon moved on to become a multi-time champion in the IWL and BRL, holding both the IWL World and BRL Global titles. He has won countless end-of-the-year honors, and has had storied rivalries with the likes of Senor Lucha, Ali Atari, and his greatest rival, Luthor Alexander. He retired after ending Punk Rock Mike's historic Global title run in the BRL, only to be defeated by Mike's own brother and stablemate, Agent 26. The IWAR and BRL wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
(Thank you, Matt, Alex, everyone on the IWAR creative team, and everyone who I've had the honor of playing against since 2014.)
