Manager Tommy Christopher made the excellent suggestion of having the Ladies' World Champion earn 10 free matches for all the managers in her league whenever she hails from the same league as the previous winner. Since the champion of the Lovely Ladies League won the World honors this cycle, if an LLL wrestler goes home with the gold next time, all the managers in her league will have cause to celebrate! The note underneath the champion's name will mention this special prize every time it occurs, so be sure to watch for it.
Tommy was voted the 2021 Commissioner of the Year by his online peers, but he isn't the sort of person to hog all the glory for himself. He wants to help others propel their leagues to new heights, so he submitted another request that we approved: commissioners have been able to award $50,000 in imaginary money and 5 free matches to wrestlers in their leagues during each cycle in which they submit a report, but now, any time a league features 50 or more cards of matches, those prizes double! (It seems "Mr. Christopher" is hoping for even more competition for his online accolade this year. Will you be the one to provide it?)
IWA Legend Terrence Boyd picked up a third World title this tour -- and by that I mean he also won the belt on two previous occasions. Manager Jon Wasilewski was hot, as well, taking home four Specialty titles in a single round of play! It's even more impressive when you consider that he hasn't been competing in the IWA very long.
That isn't the case for retiring legend Cujo, who signed his contract with manager Curtis Roberts nearly 16 years ago. The Battle Royal League must also bid a fond farewell to Maurice Plante's legendary grappler Assassin Beast Devasto this cycle. His career began almost exactly one year before Cujo's! It's amazing that there are wrestlers in this game who have been entertaining fans longer than many of their real-life counterparts. Old schoolers, give yourselves a well-deserved pat on the back!
