Last cycle, I mentioned that manager Dennis Mooney was responsible for the battle royal variation which has two wrestlers being thrown out of the ring simultaneously, but I neglected to include the fact that 20 years earlier, he had suggested having participants eliminated by two wrestlers who had teamed up! He presented the idea in the official IWA Chat Room, way back in 1998. Our chat room closed its doors long ago, but his improvement is still going strong!

McDowell's at 85-07 Queens Blvd., Elmhurst, New York, is the site of today's celebration. The first IWA World Champion to represent the Famille Royale Marchand, LPPF/FRM-16: Patera the Beekeeper (PKW), enters the dining room area with his longtime associate, Lord Saito (LPL/former IWA World Six-man Champion), to the tune of "El Dia de Mi Suerte" by Hector Lavoe. On his massive waist is the World title, over his left shoulder, the Hardcore title, and over his right, the Jade Federation belt.
Patera speaks: "World's Strongest Man, 1977. Most Popular Inmate, Minnesota State Prison, 1985. Most Improved Beekeeper, 2019. And now this?!?" Patera drops to the floor and does 501 perfect push-ups while Saito cheers him on. He jumps to his feet and continues: "Where's my life coach? Where's my OG?"
Mr. Cleo McDowell, owner and sole proprietor of today's venue, rolls a giant bedazzled egg into the center of the dining room. Patera headbutts the egg, cracking it open to reveal Big Marchand From The Diamond District!!! Patera, Saito, and Marchand embrace.
Big takes the microphone: "Since I was a young boy and I first learned about the IWA from Bill Apter and Pro Wrestling Illustrated, I looked forward to this very day... the day that I'd manage the World Champion... and it took a long time. Life happened. And now, this is happening right in front of you. History..."
Patera hands all three belts to Marchand, and bows his head in respect. The socially-distanced crowd of 30 erupts in cheers! Saito removes three golden vials from his kimono, keeping one and distributing the others to Patera and Marchand. They open and drink the vials simultaneously, immediately transforming into vapor and transporting to another dimension!!!
