Congratulations are in order for our new State Wrestling Champions! They had to fight against incredible odds to take home the gold this year. The fans loved that everyone involved made them earn every cent of that prize money. Thanks for putting on such a great show!

A standing ovation is in order for IWA manager Big Marchand, whose coaching helped Punk Power Ranger successfully defend his United States championship from last cycle! The only other wrestler to ever accomplish this back-to-back feat was our first-ever Hall of Fame inductee, Jumping John Elway, managed by current player Kevin Elrod.

Not only did Big Marchand keep the U.S. title in his possession, but he also secured our new International Championship with another of his athletes! We're looking forward to seeing if anyone will be able to teach him the value of sharing.

Three quick reminders: (1) players can now have, at most, 50 wrestlers in any federation, with up to 25 in leagues without official limits. Visit PlayIWA.com for a list of leagues which have such limits. (2) Wrestlers who are inactive -- meaning they do not initiate any one-on-one matches -- for two cycles in a row will receive a low-carder to mid-carder strategy as that second cycle begins, to reduce the number of titles being inadvertently taken by inactive wrestlers. (3) There's still time to cast your vote about the new names for the standard regional titles.

Next cycle (and only next cycle), IWA officials will be taking bribes! They'll be allowing wrestlers to remove up to 20 losses by paying $25,000 per loss. Neatly print the following on a piece of paper: "Drop 20 losses from my wrestler, ID #123" (choose from 1 to 20 losses, and use your wrestler's ID number instead of 123). Separate the request from your trash talk by skipping some space, and include the paper with your league matches. You may deduct losses from as many of your wrestlers as you wish, but each must have the necessary funds. Keep in mind that removing the maximum of 20 losses will cost your wrestler a whopping $500,000 in imaginary money. In our officials' defense, we're only willing to look the other way one cycle per year, so they have to make it count.

Also arriving next cycle are the IWA Specialty Championships! We hope to see you there!

HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES -- engraved plaque

Les McCarver of Michigan

VIRUS/PA: The Motor City Maniac (ECL) 1,241-144-47, *25, $1,819,900
Superstar Ben Legacy (LWL) 1,168-304-40, *18, $2,222,866

VIRUS: Lassa Fever (MML)
Frank Jay Belcher III of Michigan; 501; $250,000 + 75 free matches or a real wrestling belt & 25 free matches, 10 free matches for MML managers next cycle

Lassa Fever steps out onto the stage with the Gold Federation title over his shoulder and the IWA World title around his waist. Then Mike Drake from the HWL steps out with the Iron Fed. over his shoulder and the King of the Ring title around his waist. Finn Balor steps out wearing the Atlantic IWA-wide regional title. Then World Six-woman Champions Furry Furnace of Fury, Hot Pocket, and F. Burger step out, followed by the World Tag Champions, Protozoa and Influenza. Then STD, Nick Gage, and Grim Reaper step out wearing the World Six-man titles, along with Chikungunya, The Murphy, and Sweden House wearing the U.S. Six-man titles. Lassa looks around himself as his grin grows...

Lassa: "And they say The Infection is dead! Ha! We are just getting warmed up! Everyone is running scared, and so they should be! We will continue to do what we want, how we want, and when we want! Now we have rival stables joining up and teaming, 'cause that's the only way they can handle The Infection. Haven't you people learned yet? It doesn't matter what you do, what you think, or how you react! We are the future! We are the Alpha and Omega! We... are... VIRUS!!!"

Lassa drops the mic, and The Infection leaves the stage.
