Trevor Riley, creator and commissioner of the MvG Sports Louisiana Purchase Ligue as well as manager of our newly-crowned Polar Bear champion, pointed out that the King of the Ring title was looking a bit neglected in the imaginary money department. We think he may be on to something, and would love to hear your thoughts on how much of a bonus, if any, should be awarded to the overall winner of all our league battle royals.
Next cycle, we will be opening six more pioneer leagues, one per federation! This time, transfers will not be permitted, and you can only create up to six wrestlers in each. After the first year of competition, the managers in each league can vote to allow transfers, as well as have their league become an Elite league or change/eliminate the wrestler limit.
The Iron Federation will serve as HQ for the Black Ops League, and the Hired Assassin League will be setting up shop in the cold, hard Steel Federation. The Western Trails League will try to strike it rich in the Gold Federation, while the Bronze Federation will be hoping for an ally in a fellow alloy, the Brass Knuckles League. The Jade Federation will soon be offering everything from AAL to ZZL -- the Zig Zag League, that is -- and the Diamond Federation is sure to be best friends with the No Man's League.
Not only will the NML be in contention for our major ladies' titles, but thanks to the managers behind the innovative Elite title, 2020 may finally see the IWA with a ladies' league which directly competes for a real-life belt! It's pretty amazing that it took this long for it to happen, but the part to remember is that the IWA is pretty amazing. ;-)
If the new year finds you growing restless for new territory to conquer, these six leagues should be just what the doctor ordered. So, take your shot (so to speak)... Get out there and squared circle those wagons -- it's pioneer time!
