HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES Albion "Beyond Compare" O'Maire enters the Hall of Fame after being the single-most dominant performer in the IWA's greatest league, the ASL, over the past few years. Albion ends his career with a record of 1,099-252-92 and 21 stars. The British Behemoth, as he was known, held every title in the ASL -- from multiple league championships and TV titles to countless regional belts, and even an IWA-wide regional during this year's May cycle. His proudest accomplishment is his ownership of the coveted ASL Heavyweight Championship belt, which he won and held on three separate occasions. Albion would like to thank his brothers in the greatest stable in the IWA, Terminal Velocity; they made him what he is today. Albion would also like to acknowledge long-time rival The Bullet Butch Starr, who helped to fuel his competitive fires early in his career. Lastly, Albion would like to thank ASL Commissioner Smackdown for his tireless work in making the league the best that it can be. The ASL loses an icon today, but Albion will be watching from his famous piano bar and restaurant, The Fox and Feather Pub, and he hopes the ASL finds its next icon and continues to prosper. His final public statement was, "Don't cry for me, you peons!" (Congratulations to his manager, Jordan Ross of Canada, who will receive an engraved plaque.)
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION ACE: North Philly Ninja (BRL) had the only 501-point strategy out of all our league champions last cycle, so he was able to claim first the Gold Federation honors and then the World prize! His manager, Bob Dippy of Pennsylvania, gets to decide if he wants 100 free matches or a real wrestling belt and 50 free matches.
U.S. CHAMPION Jason P. Miller of Kansas armed ILL: Achilles (PML) with a 500-pointer that proved unbeatable when used against all other TV champions. He wins an engraved plaque or 25 free matches!
KING OF THE RING Although both "Mr. Powerful" Ken Lambeau (PKL) and Sir Chancelot (MPL) had the same 272-point total as reigning King of the Ring CTI: Loyal Servant #1 (QPL) when we took the sum of the values of hold positions 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14 in the strategy of every league battle royal winner, the overall strategy provided by Keith A. Maple of Ohio turned out to be superior. Keith can choose an engraved plaque or 25 free matches as his prize! (The hold positions used to find the winners of the league battle royals were 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 15.)
AMERICAN CHAMPION Claiming this returning title and its $25,000 purse was COT: "Who the Heck is?" Mike Cook (OSL), who had the best strategy among the champions of our newly-designated American leagues! Even though we don't know who the heck he is, we're sending 10 free matches off to Kentucky.
ASIATIC CHAMPION EDGE: Tosswreck the Terrible (NDL) had to use point flow to defeat ILL: Zeus (PML) in the battle for this belt. His manager, Mike Dorsett of New York, will receive 10 free matches!
HARDCORE CHAMPION The 10 free matches that accompany this title went home with Vermont's own Mark Duchaine! He led WWW: Little Orphan Amphetamine (PKL) to victory over our other Hardcore league champions.
CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION Colandus Metcalf of Arkansas earned 10 free matches by coaching his wrestler, XXX: Spanky (FIL), to this $25,000 championship. Congratulations on a job well done!
FEDERATION PLAY-OFFS Keith A. Maple of Ohio pocketed fifty free matches by managing King of the Ring CTI: Loyal Servant #1 (QPL) to the Iron Federation title, then leading LPPF: Medieval Tymes (GRL) to a win over WCW: Baddest American Biker John 13th USA (OTL) in the final match of the Bronze Federation play-offs! One of his former cohorts, Jason P. Miller of Kansas, plundered the Steel Federation with ILL: Pillage (PPL), whose strategy was worth 500 points. North Philly Ninja picked up the Gold strap on his way to the World Heavyweight Championship. In the Diamond Federation, RWS: Mike Vendetta (DDL) and RWS/DFP: Trent Acid (ABL) had to split the $40,000 prize, since they ended in an unbreakable tie. All 25 free matches went to Michael Drake of New York, however, because he manages them both! The pair edged out TCA: Remorse (NAL) and CTI/RAW: The P. King (RCL). John Gabriel of Pennsylvania kept the Jade belt in his stable's display case by supplying CTI: Ted DiBiase (WWL) with an unstoppable 500 total.
NATIONAL CHAMPION, IWA-WIDE REGIONALS Despite the distraction of the annual Baddest American Biker rally going on outside the arena, John Gabriel of Pennsylvania was able to focus well enough to shout instructions which helped CTI: Cody Rhodes (WWL) pin ILL: Mr. Burns (PPL) for the Atlantic region play-offs. Cody then used his 500-point strategy to secure the National honors, gaining an engraved plaque or 25 free matches for his manager! Taking home the remaining titles were...
LADIES' TITLES CB: "Perfect Ten" Jen Carfagno (FFL) took home the Ladies' World title and won an engraved plaque or 15 free matches for her manager. She paired up with Christi "Got It All" Paul and they conquered the Ladies' tag scene, edging past ILL: The TSuenami Sue Norris and "Misery" Sharon Payne (VVL). Then, Rudi "Baby Got" Bakhtiar showed up and the trio successfully defended their World Six-woman belts. What a showing by W.P. Mills of Wisconsin! Fellow Wisconsinite Michael Koch helped IDOC: "Sumo Queen" Yuki Nono (LLL) live up to her name by guiding her to point flow victory over Mistress Sandy (VVL) in the battle for the Queen of the Ring crown. RUS: Aneta (LLL) added $20,000 to her imaginary bank account by winning the Ladies' U.S. title. She's managed by Paul C. Low of Maryland. WWW: Veronica Adams (LLL) helped "StableKing" Eric Sickler of Virginia break the Notorious ACEhole's recent stranglehold on the Ladies' National title. The Ladies' U.S. tag straps went to LB: Kimona and Lotus the Ninja Girl (VVL). Manager Frank Snow of North Carolina added L.A. Mazzaratti to the team and they ended up with the U.S. Six-woman championships!
WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS Keith A. Maple of Ohio sent CTI: Loyal Servants #1 and #2 (QPL) after these $50,000 titles, and they didn't dare return without them! Keith gets his choice of an engraved plaque or 15 free matches.
TOP 10 TAG-TEAMS
U.S. TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS Picking up these belts along with $20,000 apiece were NZM: Crazy Nick Carter and Crazy Luke Williams (MRL)! Francis Guy of Massachusetts led them to a point flow win over ACE: Abyss and Disturbed (ICL), plus CTI: Gravedigger and the Widowmaker (ALL).
WORLD SIX-MAN CHAMPIONS Having the only perfect 521 total among our league six-man champions last cycle meant that ILL: Over Confident Jerk, Self-Righteous Schmuck, and Power Hungry Maniac (WCL) were the rightful owners of these $50,000 titles! Their manager, Jason P. Miller of Kansas, can now choose either an engraved plaque or 15 free matches. In an amazing display of consistency, Stacy Kowalski of Wisconsin's Remorse, Samuel Adams, and Unholy Violence held onto third place in the rankings!
TOP 10 SIX-MAN TEAMS
U.S. SIX-MAN CHAMPIONS Solid teamwork put this $20,000 payday in the hands of RAW: Blade, Whistler, and Hannibal King (WCL)! Long-time IWA manager Darrell Brewer of Alabama helped them defeat all of our other TV six-man champions last cycle.
TOP 10 LEAGUES Going by the number of matches in each, the most active leagues for the Fall cycle appear below. After several close calls, the Mid-Atlantic Region League was finally able to overtake the Grim Reaper League, ending its long reign at number one! Since the active wrestlers in the Unknown Wrestler League had the highest average strategy total out of all 10 leagues, their managers may choose to take two matches for $1 next cycle! Previous winner MRL came in second, followed by the ASL, GRL, and MBL.
