HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES Shawn "The Cut Throat" Butcher is entering our Hall of Fame this cycle! He earned his reputation of being a heartless assassin by stepping on both friend and foe as he made his way to the top. While in the TML, he won 40 titles in 40 cycles, including 7 battle royals! His most recent accomplishment was winning the 2007 Last Man Standing Specialty title. Shawn retires from the New York League, vacating the tag-team title he currently holds. An engraved plaque will be sent to his manager, James Dermott of New York!
WORLD CHAMPION ACE: Sandberg Drone (SPL), managed by Jason Sandberg of New York, used his 500-point strategy to win first the Iron Federation belt, then the World title! Jason can now decide if he wants 100 free matches or a real wrestling belt and 50 free matches.
U.S. CHAMPION Defeating all other league TV champions with his 500-pointer last cycle was ACE: Darkness (CSL)! He earned $60,000 in imaginary money. His manager, Tony Robinson of Florida, can choose either an engraved plaque or 25 free matches!
KING OF THE RING Totaling the values of hold positions 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, and 13 in each battle royal winner's strategy showed everyone that SWA: Horace "Hillary" Clinton (WAL) was the rightful wearer of this crown! His manager, Xeryus from Parts Unknown, wins an engraved plaque or 25 free matches for providing the 499-pointer. Also with a 272-point King of the Ring total but losing by overall (15-hold) strategy total were CTI members Adult Content and X-Rated (ALL). They were entered in the running for this title because they were inadvertently omitted from their league battle royal -- which, incidentally, used the following hold positions to determine the outcome: 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 10, 14, and 15.
ASIATIC CHAMPION Bob Dippy of Pennsylvania pocketed 10 free matches by coaching ACE: The Corporate Executive (CSL) to the top of our Asiatic leagues last cycle! His strategy was worth 499 points. Effective immediately, the Evil Clown League has been converted to an Asiatic league -- giving us one in each federation, and giving you increased competition!
HARDCORE CHAMPION ACE: Stone Cold Steve Austin (HWL) picked up this coveted title for IWA veteran manager Bob Dippy of Pennsylvania! Steve's 499 total earned him $25,000 in imaginary money, and Bob won 10 free matches for his outstanding ringside support.
FEDERATION PLAY-OFFS The Iron Federation went to Sandberg Drone, who quickly traded up to the World title after beating WWW: Flawless (IDL) by point flow (both had a 500-pointer). Jason Sandberg of New York also won the Gold Federation honors, using ACE: World Banker Shlomo Glickstern (BRL)! He had to edge out UZI: Hell Seed (CLL). In the Steel Federation, SWA: Marcus Patriot (PML) earned 25 free matches for Xeryus from Parts Unknown after edging both UZI: Nuclear Holocaust (TGL) and ACE: "Playmaker" Patrik Elias (KKL). ACE: Hitman Howie Sandberg (NAL) of New York took out the competition for the Diamond strap, then wore it home. Gregg Boyle of Maryland led UZI: Louis Duncan (NYL) to a point flow win in the Bronze Federation over ACE: "The Hammer" Matt Havok (AEL), UZI: Newbie Dispatcher (JEL), ACE: "The Bad Guy" Brian Agony (WAL), and COT/MS: Reign (HSL). Each had 499 points. The Jade Federation champion was UZI: The Smooth One Jeff Manning (JDL) of Ohio.
NATIONAL CHAMPION, IWA-WIDE REGIONALS ACE: The Ace of Studs (UFL) won an engraved plaque or 25 free matches for Howie Sandberg of New York when his 500-point strategy proved good enough to take not only the Pacific region, but also the National title! The rest of the regions went to...
LADIES' TITLES The Ladies' World title went to UZI: Street Walker (GDL)! Jason P. Miller of Kansas, who can choose an engraved plaque or 15 free matches as a reward, led her to victory over stablemates Maniac Molly (VVL) and Allyson (FFL). Jason also held onto the Ladies' tag straps, this time using UZI: Crazy Uma No Teeth and Crackhead Courtney Love (VVL). They had a perfect 516 total. Jason also kept his name on the Ladies' U.S. Tag-team belts! This time around the champions were UZI: Hot & Spicy Jennifer Lopez and Mrs. Crabtree (VVL), who also had 516 points. The battle for the Queen of the Ring glory ended with ACE: "Vivacious" Valerie Phoenix (VVL) edging TV: Diamond Blaze (GDL) for manager Tim Zaegel of Missouri. Tim also picked up the Ladies' National title! With his guidance, ACE: "Sizzling" Cheri Summers (VVL) was able to defeat UZI: Dracula's Bride Verona (VVL) by point flow. Andre Sabucco of Texas won the Ladies' U.S. honors with UZI: Sinister Samantha (VVL), then claimed the World Six-woman belts with UZI: Dracula's Brides Marishka, Aleera, and Verona (VVL)! They had a 521 total. ACE: Girl's Not Grey, Miss Murder, and Lady So Devine (GDL) used teamwork to take the U.S. Six-woman championships for Howie Sandberg of New York. They had to edge out UZI: Allyson, Lyndsey the Ditsy Cheerleader, and Alexis Sapphire (FFL), plus UZI: Evil Erin, Maniac Molly, and Sinister Samantha (VVL).
WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS Jason Sandberg of New York reclaimed these belts from his brother Howie, thanks to ACE: Always Right Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity (PML)! He wins either an engraved plaque or 15 free matches (his choice). The top seven teams in the standings had 516 points.
TOP 10 TAG-TEAMS
U.S. TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS Scott Bernes of Ohio's CTI: Throw Away Wrestler #1 teamed up with Intolerant Heathen (SPL), managed by Shaun McPeck of Illinois, to win these belts. They had to edge out ACE: "The Antagonist" Shaun and "The Edge" Garrett Agony (WAL), ACE: Kid Ibanez and Solo Skillz (KTL), plus Morningtide Envoy: Sweet Stan Lee Hanes and Meatrack Dean Corddry (MRL). All four teams had 516 points!
WORLD SIX-MAN CHAMPIONS Four teams fought to an unbreakable tie for these titles. The Sanders marked Howie Sandberg of New York's fourth consecutive cycle holding these belts! Both UZI teams are owned by Jason P. Miller of Kansas, who also shared in these winnings last time! Scott Bernes of Ohio made sure his CTI members were invited to the party. The top seven teams listed had 521 points -- including the Morningtide Envoy team, which also made last cycle's list. This is their second perfect score in a row, and the same can be said for Mr. Stroke of Death, Slick Vic Greed, and Masked Inmate V.E.B. Impressive teamwork!
TOP 10 SIX-MAN TEAMS
U.S. SIX-MAN CHAMPIONS To win these titles, Scott Bernes of Ohio had to coach his team of CTI: Oriental Snake God, Taipan "Venom" Yin, and Roah "The Serpent" Yang (NML) to point flow victory over ACE: Ashton Skye, Desert Eagle, and Rebellion Warrior (TGL); UZI: Lord of the Dance, Rookie Reaper, and Freshman Hazer (JEL); UZI: Chazz Michael Michaels, Jimmy MacElroy, and Stranz Van Waldenberg (FBL); plus UZI: Blackest Hell, "Mister Superstar" J.P.M., and Antichrist Superstar (GRL). Each team had a perfect 521 points!
TOP 10 LEAGUES The most active leagues for the Summer cycle, according to the number of matches, appear below. The All Star League held strong in first for the third straight cycle! Majestic Property League managers get the royal treatment next time, with the choice of taking two matches for $1 instead of paying our regular prices. (Remember that you must submit an even number of matches, and the special price only applies to matches -- not to battle royal entries, name changes, etc. Also, do NOT look at the regular prices on your match form and send in twice that number of matches; if you use this special deal, submit two matches for every $1 you spend.) They won this option because the active wrestlers in the MPL had the best average strategy total out of all 10 leagues on the list! Second through fourth place went to the ASL, APL, and ABL, respectively.
