2007 SPECIALTY CHAMPIONS Congratulations to all the new titleholders, who were each awarded $100,000 in imaginary money! Runners-up got $25,000 apiece, and third place finishers received $10,000.
HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES Taking his rightful place among the other IWA legends is former World Champion BOJC: Gerald "The Enforcer" Robinson of the NDL. Boasting 22 stars and nearly $5 million in imaginary money, he has earned an engraved plaque for his manager, Gerald Robinson of Tennessee! "The Bombshell" Mercedes is also retiring this cycle. Ryan Oskar of Ohio led this LLL superstar to stats of 1,763-405-35, with $2,142,500 in earnings. Congratulations on your achievement, Ryan! Our third retiree this time is UKA: Assassin II of JIL fame. He ends his career with an impressive record of 1,317-373-76, $3,173,500 in the bank, and 19 stars. He owes his fearsome reputation to veteran manager Clint Bailey of Virginia! The final wrestler entering our Hall is Buster Muscles (ASL). This 2006 IWA Scaffold Champion retires as the reigning State Champion of Alaska, Florida, and Oklahoma! He amassed 1,142 victories and saved up $1,873,100 for his retirement. An engraved plaque will soon be sent to his deserving manager, William Woolen, Jr. of Alabama!
WORLD CHAMPION In a very rare occurrence, a manager has won the Triple Crown -- consisting of World Singles, World Tag, and World Six-man -- all in the same cycle! Jason Sandberg of New York led ACE: World Banker Moshe Goldberg (BRL) to the prestigious World Singles Championship with a 501-point strategy. Moshe now adds this coveted title to his stockpile of riches. Great job cementing your place in IWA history, Jason!
U.S. CHAMPION Dethroning his brother's wrestler to win this title was Jason Sandberg of New York, who guided ACE: World Banker Shlomo Glickstern (BRL) to the top of our TV champions last cycle! Shlomo, the tag-team partner of our current World Champion, had to use point flow against FTW: The 187 Kid (LWL), ROW: Special Agent B.M.F. (JIL), THC: Vince "Six-Shooter" Steel (JRL), A: Dynamic Demolisher (PKL), and UZI: Dynamite Kid (TPL), since they each had 500 points.
KING OF THE RING Illustrious Ian Idol (HAL) had the highest total after we added the values of hold positions 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13 in each battle royal winner's strategy. His manager, Rob Bream of Pennsylvania, can now choose either an engraved plaque or 25 free matches! The American Rasslin Machine (MPL) also had a 274 total using the KOTR hold positions, but Ian's full, 15-hold strategy had slightly better point flow. The league battle royals used hold positions 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 14, and 15.
ASIATIC CHAMPION Rob Bream of Pennsylvania added 10 free matches to his haul, compliments of A.C. Steel (JDL)'s 500-pointer! (It's nice to finally know what his initials stand for.)
HARDCORE CHAMPION Esteemed member of the Alliance (SD and FDC), Dirrty from the PKL picked up $25,000 in earnings and won 10 free matches for J. Hook of California! His strategy total was 500.
FEDERATION PLAY-OFFS The Iron Federation champion was EDGE: Chris Coldstone (DZL)! Joachim Storz of Germany managed him to a point flow win over UZI: Orange Fanta Machine (SPL), ACE: "Russian Revolution" S.V. Zhitnik (CSL), LOC: Bad AZZ (HWL), UZI: Royal Rathmyer (UFL), and LE: The Hulkster (QPL). Each had a 499. WWW: Skyblade the Tiger King (DIL) took home $40,000 and 25 free matches for Mitchell Morrissey of Missouri when his 500 total earned him the Steel Federation strap. Before winning the World title, Moshe Goldberg claimed the Gold Federation title by edging GUILD: New Breed Destroyer (ASL). Both had a perfect 501 points! AGF: Hardcore Tyrone (NSL) won the prize in the Diamond for Eric Jones of Maryland, who supplied his 500-pointer. The Bronze Federation went to ACE: Tortured Soul (AEL), who was managed to a 499 by Howie Sandberg of New York. In the Jade, reigning Asiatic Champion A.C. Steel (JDL), managed by Rob Bream of Pennsylvania, edged out A: Death Hawk (JIL), NGAA: Dionysus (SHL), A: Dirrty (PKL), UKA: Iron Cross (KSL), and WGW: Lite the Knight (LWL). Each wrestler had 500 points.
NATIONAL CHAMPION, IWA-WIDE REGIONALS Gregg Boyle of Maryland earned his choice of an engraved plaque or 25 free matches when UZI: Mister SuperDuperStar (CLL) moved up from the Prairie region to the National title with his perfect 501! Eight of the nine remaining regions were won with a 500-pointer. The strategies belonged to...
LADIES' TITLES Our previous Queen of the Ring, Nikki Blair (LLL), won the Ladies' World title plus an engraved plaque or 15 free matches for her manager, Rob Bream of Pennsylvania! She had 500 points. Taking the vacated Queen's crown was UZI: Brenda "Bring Da" Payne (GAL), who is managed by the Smooth One Jeff Manning of Ohio. FOE: Crazy Crystal (FFL) kept the Ladies' U.S. title in the hands of Andre Sabucco of Texas. She had a 499. Jamison O'Neal of Maine armed EBM: "Sexy" Eva (LLL) with a 500-pointer, allowing her to take the Ladies' National honors by point flow over LOD: Buffie the Body (FFL). Then Jamison teamed her with Eric Jones of Maryland's AA: Tatiana-Leyte and they won the Ladies' Tag-team belts! The U.S. tag straps went to LPPF/BOD: Gothic Angel #1 and Bloody Assault Jessica Lee Richards (LLL), managed by Keith A. Maple of Ohio. CB: "Perfect Ten" Jen Carfagno, Christi "Got It All" Paul, and Rudi "Baby Got" Bakhtiar (FFL) gained the World Six-woman titles by point flow over UZI: Your Grandma, Your Sister, and Your Mom (LLL) for W.P. Mills of Wisconsin. Scott Lowe of Missouri picked up the U.S. Six-woman gold with ACE: Alexis Doom, Razma Vive, and Rebecca Bloodblade (FFL), who edged out UZI: Charismatic Olivia Tyson, Invincible Laura Lipkowitz, and the TSuenami Sue Norris (LLL).
WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS There was a three-way tie for these belts! Jason Sandberg proved with his ACE team from the TDL that in addition to singles competition, he's also a tag-team threat. His brother Howie, who is also from New York, stuck around in this section, this time thanks to his ACEs from the NAL (who were ranked fifth on the previous list). Jason P. Miller of Kansas kept his name on these titles, too, with his UZI pair from the MWL! The top five teams in the rankings had 516 points.
TOP 10 TAG-TEAMS
U.S. TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS Nick Jones of Ohio coached FOE: DJ Clue and DJ Quik (NAL) to a win over WWW: Hotshot Timothy and Mike White Lightning Moore (ECL) for these belts! Also with a 516 were ACE teams "Stunning" Steve and "Dashingly Handsome" Doug Butabi (ABL), Esposito and General Vargas (TDL), "Mr. Clutch" Chris Drury and "Dynamic" Daniel Briere (JDL), plus Wolf J. Flywheel and Rufus T. Firefly (GRL).
WORLD SIX-MAN CHAMPIONS Jason Sandberg of New York completed his World sweep by keeping these titles in his possession, this time with ACE: Bad Boy Billy Roper, American Hero John Birch, and George Lincoln Rockwell (NDL)! Jason P. Miller of Kansas also held onto his share of these belts, using UZI: Royce Rathmyer, Rohan Rathmyer, and Huge Friggin' Jerk (UFL) to get the job done this time around. The top eight teams listed had 521 points.
TOP 10 SIX-MAN TEAMS
U.S. SIX-MAN CHAMPIONS UZI: King Cobra, Pit Viper, and Black Mamba (NFL) kept Jason P. Miller of Kansas's name on these belts, but this time he had to share them. ACE: Welcome Wagon Ray Cochrane, Peter North, and Jerky John Musacha (NAL), managed by Howie Sandberg of New York, as well as UZI: Matt Jones, "Tri Me" Gregg B., and the Ace Stomper (LOL), managed by Gregg Boyle of Maryland, ended in an unbreakable tie with Jason's men! Also with a perfect team total of 521 but losing by point flow were LAW: "Too Hott" Tommy Hot, the Fire Man, and UZI: Kenny Lewis (XWL), plus EDGE: The Shadow, the Messenger, and the Angel of Death (NYL).
TOP 10 LEAGUES The most active leagues for the April cycle are ranked below by the number of matches. The All Star League took back first place, pushing the Absolute Pain League down a spot! The Axe Blade League jumped into the #3 position, and it has a good chance of staying: it had the highest average strategy total when counting only active wrestlers, so ABL managers can take two matches for $1 next time! The ASL nearly won this honor for a second straight cycle.
